This article explains what the insight function is, describes each section, and explains how it is compiled.

The Insights feature is included in the following plans:
The Insights Beta dashboard provides a visual overview of employee data through various graphs and charts. Each section displays key information, including the following:
- Number of Employees by Employment Type by Month
- Total Number of Employees / Average Age / Average Length of Employment
- Number of Employees per Department / Number of Employees by Gender
- Management Ratio / Female Management Ratio
- Average Length of Enrolment by Year
- Average Female Age / Average Male Age / Average Managerial Age / Average Female Managerial Age
Members included in the Insights data aggregation
By default, all registered members are included in the Insights data aggregation. To specify particular members that you do not wish to include, please follow the steps outlined below.
1) Click the gear icon located in the upper right corner of the Insights Beta dashboard.

2) Click on "Add Excluded Members" in the pop-up window and select the members you wish to exclude.

3) The members you have added will appear in the "Excluded Members" list. If you wish to remove a member from the exclusion list, simply click the trash can icon next to their name.

Number of Employees by Employment Type by Month

- The total number of employees categorized by employment type for the past 12 months, including the current month, is aggregated.
- Members with a recorded hire date are included in the aggregation.
- If no members have a recorded hire date, the stacked bar graph will not be displayed.
- If the employment type is not set, it will be categorized as "Not Specified" in the aggregation.
- Method for Aggregating Employee Count by Month
- If the hire date falls after the end of the target month, it will not be counted.
- If the hire date falls before the end of the target month and there is no recorded termination date, the member will be counted as active for that month.
- All other members who are active during the target month will be included in the count.

- Members who are classified as "active" or "on leave" are included in the aggregation.

- Members classified as "active" or "on leave" are included in the aggregation.
- Members without a recorded date of birth will be excluded from the aggregation.
- Calculation of the average age at the time of aggregation.
- Round to two decimal places.

Average Length of Employment |
- Members classified as "active" or "on leave" are included in the aggregation.
- Members with a recorded hire date are included in the aggregation.
- Calculate the difference in days between the hire date and the termination date, and convert that duration into years.
- If there is no recorded termination date, calculate the difference between the hire date and the current date, and convert that duration into years.
- Rounded to two decimal places.

Management Ratio / Female Management Ratio

- Members classified as "active" or "on leave" are included in the aggregation.
- Management: The number of employees holding positions designated as managerial.
- Non-managerial Staff: Total Number of Employees - Number of Managerial Employees

Female Management Ratio |
- Members who are classified as "active" or "on leave" and hold a managerial position are included in the aggregation.
- Number of Female Managerial Employees: Count of employees in managerial positions who are female.
- Number of Male Managers: The count of managerial employees who are not female.

Average Length of Enrolment by Year

- The average length of employment for male and female employees who were active during each year of the past six years is aggregated by year.
Note: The day of termination is included in the aggregation.
If the hire date occurs after December 31 of the target year (or the current aggregation date for the final year), the employee will not be considered as active for that year, resulting in a length of employment of zero days.
1. Method for Aggregating Length of Employment
- If there is no recorded termination date, the member is considered active, and the number of days employed will be calculated up to December 31 of the target year (or the current date for the final year).
- If the termination date occurs before January 1 of the target year, the employee will not be considered as active for that year, resulting in a length of employment of zero days.
- If the termination date falls within the target year, the length of employment will be calculated by subtracting the hire date from the termination date.
- For all other cases, the member is considered active for the target year, and the number of days employed will be calculated up to December 31 of that year (or the current date for the final year of aggregation).
2. Method for Aggregating Length of Employment
- Divide the value obtained in step 1 by 365.
3. Method for Aggregating Average Length of Employment
- Calculate the average of the values obtained in step 2 and round the result to two decimal places.
- If there are no members included in the aggregation, the result will be reported as 0.
