How to Start a Flow

This article describes how to start a flow, including setting up target members, flow types and templates.

In mfloow, the term "flow" refers to the business processes associated with events for each employee. In the flow screen, you can view a comprehensive list of flows created for each employee, along with their task progress.

How to Initiate a Flow

There are three methods to initiate a flow.

  1. How to Start a Flow by Selecting or Creating a Target
  2. How to Initiate a Flow Without Selecting a Target
  3. How to Initiate a Flow Without a Flow Template

How to Start a Flow by Selecting or Creating a Target

Click on the "Start Flow" button located in the upper right corner.11-FlowStart


The flow creation screen will appear. To create a flow, you must set the "Target," "Flow Type," and "Flow Template." If the participant is already registered, select "Choose from Existing Members."

To create a new general member account and immediately start a flow, select "Create Target as New Member" and enter the member's name.

The "Target" refers to the employee for whom the flow is being created.

For example, if you want to initiate the onboarding flow for Employee A, please select Employee A as the "Target."01-FlowStart-1

The "Flow Template" refers to a pre-existing template that has already been created. If you wish to utilize a flow template, select the option "Use Flow Template."

The "Flow Type" refers to the category of the flow. Please select the appropriate flow type and then choose the corresponding flow template.04-Flow-Start-A


Depending on the flow template selected, you may be prompted to enter "Shared Information."

Click the "Start" button to initiate the flow.

How to Initiate a Flow Without Selecting a Target

Click the "Start Flow" button located in the upper right corner.11-FlowStart


The flow creation screen will appear. To set up a flow, you need to specify the "Target," "Flow Type," and "Flow Template." To initiate a flow without selecting a specific member, choose the option "Do Not Set a Target."

The "Flow Template" refers to a pre-existing template that has already been created. If you wish to utilize a flow template, select the option "Use Flow Template."

Depending on the selected flow template, you may be required to provide additional "Shared Information" during the flow creation process.

Click the "Start" button to initiate the flow.

Flows initiated without a specific participant will be displayed in the flow list screen with a green calendar icon.

In the flow list screen, you can filter flows based on whether a specific participant has been assigned or not.

How to Initiate a Flow Without a Flow Template

Click the "Start Flow" button located in the upper right corner.11-FlowStart


The flow creation screen will appear, where you need to configure the "Target," "Flow Type," and "Flow Template" to set up the flow.

Once you have configured the target, if you wish to initiate a flow without using a flow template, select the option "Do Not Use a Template." Then, choose the appropriate flow type and enter the title of the flow in the "Flow Name" field. Finally, click the "Start" button to create the flow.

A blank flow will be created, allowing you to add tasks, processes, shared information, and more on the spot.
