Moving Tasks
Important Notes
- The position and order of tasks in the flow chart view do not affect their position or order in the list view.
- A task’s process cannot be changed by drag-and-drop; it must be edited manually.
To move a task, left-click and hold the task, then drag it to the desired position within the flow chart. Release the mouse to place the task in its new location.
Adding Tasks
Zoom in on the task where you want to add a new task, then click it to display the green “+” icons to the right and below the task.
When using the lower “+” icon
Click the lower “+” icon to add a new blank task from the same process below the current task in the chart.
Set the new task name, assignee, and due date as needed, then click the “Save” button. *Note: When adding a task from a flow card, you’ll need to specify the process.
When using the right “+” icon
Click the right “+” icon to add a new blank task from the same process to the right of the current task in the chart.
Set the new task name, assignee, and due date as needed, then click the “Save” button. *Note: When adding a task from a flow card, be sure to specify the process.
If you want to merge branched tasks back into a single task
Click the task where you want to add the next task, then click the plus icon.
After adding the new task, click the connector of any other branched tasks and drag it to connect to the newly added task.
The branched tasks will now appear as merged into a single task.
To remove a connection between tasks, click the line you want to delete. When the X icon appears, click it to disconnect the two tasks. *Note: The X icon will not appear if there is only one connecting line between preceding tasks.
Notes
- You cannot create duplicate connections (lines) between the same tasks.
- You cannot set a following task as the parent of a preceding task.
